SWILLBURG’S PAC-TAC TEAM

Officer Carlos Alvarado with Bob Palmer and Judy Hay from the Swillburg Neighborhood and Larry O'Heron from the Highland Park Neighborhood.

What is PAC-TAC?

Rochester's Police Officers are on the front lines daily doing their best to combat crime and law-abiding citizens want to do their part and help. The Rochester Police Department (RPD) and community partners work together to keep Rochester safe. Police and Citizens-Together Against Crime (PAC-TAC) assist in making a difference in the Swillburg neighborhood.

Increasing neighborhood safety is not only the role of law enforcement but also involves concerned citizens working with the police in crime prevention initiatives. PAC-TAC volunteers work with on-duty patrol and Crime Prevention Officers (CPOs) and walk in the Swillburg neighborhood, interacting with other citizens and local merchants along the way to prevent crime. To date, we have five Swillburg neighbors who have taken the PAC-TAC training. RPD will schedule another training in the spring. If you are interested in receiving training to be a PAC-TAC volunteer, please contact Lt. Wilson at the Crime Prevention Officer in the South East Neighbor Service Center.
